In the next couple of weeks and months we’ll be showcasing some of the rooms in our house. We have remodeling or new furniture plans for some of the rooms, so they may take a little longer to show.
First up on our list is the playroom! The playroom is in the front of the house – which many people may call the living room, front room, formal sitting room, etc. I call it the front room, Ken calls it the living room. For us, it makes sense for this room to be a playroom for the kids. They need a space to play with their toys and I didn’t want it to be in the main living space.
The kids spend a lot of time in this room – especially Jonathan. He loves playing with the kitchen and picking books off the shelf to read. Clara likes to play restaurant. And NO, the room usually is NOT this clean!!
This room came together really quickly once we moved because we re-purposed everything from various areas in our last house. We had a similar set-up with the couch, rug, end tables and picture gallery in the living room. We had the bookcases in the playroom area in the basement.
